IRIE Music Newsletter Vol. #7 - In Touch Weekly + Irie Milano Hi Shoe Launch + All New DJ Irie MySpace

Greetings From Sunny Miami, To say the least.. November was CRAZY!! I started the month off in sin city LAS VEGAS to play at the annual Indy Racing League end of season celebration. IRL put on a show to remember with all of the IRL drivers in attendance including league celebrity drivers Helio Castroneves, Danica Patrick and 2008 IndyCar champion Scott Dixon. We partied until the wee hours of the morning at Rain Nightclub inside the Palms Hotel. Other highlights from the month of November include the 2nd annual ADCOLOR awards held in Boca Raton, Fl representing the Pepsi DJ Division, Florida International University’s ULTRA blowout event where I played for over 5000 amped FIU students, the 14th annual Make-A-Wish Ball and Sports Illustrated Magazine’s official NASCAR pre-party. The event that was considered the ‘show stopper’ was the Grand Re-Opening of the famed Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach. I played the opening party and concert on Nov. 14th with a performance from Robin Thicke and a surprise performance by Mariah Carey. The night went off without a hitch and boasted a who’s who guest list from the likes of Martha Stewart to Gwyneth Paltrow to Kate Hudson to Diddy to the famed Victoria Secret Supermodels and rocker Lenny Kravitz....needless to say November was pretttyyyy siiiick! The next few months are already looking to be just as eventful. Now that December is here the world will finally have access to the DJ Irie x Creative Recreation collaboration. The limited edition Irie Milano Hi’s hit stores Dec. 12th but I’ll be hosting a special invite only launch event at Blade on the Fontainebleau property the night prior to the shoe release. This night is really extra special to me because Robert Nand of Creative Recreation and I will be presenting the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization with a check in the amount of $10,000 from the sales of the sneaker. Given the recent financial climate it’s pretty amazing to be able to do something like this for cause that’s very dear to our hearts. This month I’ll also be doing events for Haute Living Magazine & Rolls Royce during Art Basel and will also be playing at the Boca Raton Louis Vuitton store for Tracy Mourning’s Honey Child organization. Nationally I’ll be traveling to Las Vegas to perform after-hours at Drais nightclub, Dallas, Texas to perform at my good buddy Terrell Owens birthday event, Park City, Utah for Konstantine’s of Harry O’s fame birthday and finally in Cancun, Mexico for the opening of B.E.D. Cancun! I can’t forget about NYE where I’ll be taking control of the decks at the Opium Groups newly acquired Spirits Nightclub on the Hard Rock property. I won’t be slowing down in January either as I’ll be back to perform and host the half-time festivities for the 4th year in a row at the nationally televised Orange Bowl game. Washington D.C. here I come! For anyone headed to D.C. to witness history in person by attending the inauguration of our 44th President you should be trying your best to get your hands on an invite to one of the most exclusive inauguration parties in town. I’ll be playing the party being hosted by real-estate mogul and Obama insider R. Donahue Peebles, his wife Katrina and an evolving list of celebrity co-hosts, including Star Jones and Chris Tucker, at the posh Georgetown Club. The invitation-only event for a few hundred guests will kick off at midnight after the official festivities on Jan. 20; it runs until 4 a.m. Speaking of social networks the all new DJ Irie MySpace page is up and looks pretty incredible if I say so myself. Verizon Wireless and DJ Irie’s parent company Irie Music, Corp. have struck an endorsement deal. Verizon Wireless is now the official carrier of Irie Music, Corp. employees and look for DJ Irie to make several in-store Verizon Wireless appearances throughout the state of Florida.

DJ Irie is about to make his 1st foray into the world of writing. Come January Irie will debut a new music section in luxury lifestyle publication, Ocean Drive. My first article will be in an depth Q&A with Interscope Records newly signed electro sensation group LMFAO.
